We would like to send a shout-out to all of the folks who showed up this weekend for the shuttle day, the trail work and those who donated online. Thank you for your support!
It was a beautiful fall weekend on the 44, cool and mostly dry, which made for great riding and digging. It’s a great reminder that what the mountain looks like from a distance isn’t always indicative of the weather in the 44 zone.
About 40 riders enjoyed shuttle laps from Lookout Mtn (#450) to Eight Mile South (#496), Eight Mile North and Bottle Prairie (#455). Thanks to Fat Tire Farm and Oregon Territory Outfitters for the shuttles and to Loam Coffee and TrailBuilder Magazine for the hot coffee and reading material between laps.
On Sun, we were able to rough in about a half-mile extension to Hidden Meadows South (#472). The extension is in preparation for work we are planning next year to improve the connection between Crane Creek and Hidden Meadows.
Stay tuned here or our Instagram feed for more information and opportunities to help improve the trails in the Mt Hood National Forest.
Finally, our dedicated supporters deserve a big thanks for another great season of support, too! Please support the local businesses who support your local trails!
